Acknowledgement of Country

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As a Māori artist and visitor on these lands, I honour the deep spiritual connection Aboriginal people have with Country—connections that endure through generations, through story, through resistance, and through art.

I recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
